​Fox and Moon was one of the prompts in a folk pattern challenge hosted by Holli Zollinger in early 2026. This design was inspired by a folk story I read, of an envious fox who one night asked the moon if it would share some of its beautiful light. The moon agreed and placed a shard of light in the foxes tail.
